The Program

Our program offers a multidisciplinary educational experience that integrates:

  • Environmental science

  • Community service

  • Leadership development

  • Collaboration and teamwork

  • Public speaking and presentation skills

  • Writing and research

  • Creative expression and public art

Environmental Stewardship
Students participate in regular beach cleanups, learning about marine ecosystems, recycling, and sustainability.

Leadership Development
Through Turning Trash into Treasure Program, students in grades 5th–12th develop teamwork, communication, and leadership skill. Students collect debris from the beach and collaborate with local artists to transform the materials into meaningful public art installations. Each year, students present their environmental message and artwork proposal to the Public Art Committee of the City of Pompano Beach before the final installation ceremony.

Community Partnerships
Hola Mundo Programs has successfully collaborated with community partners including:

  • The City of Pompano Beach

  • Local business

  • Local educators, artists, and volunteers

These partnerships demonstrate the program’s ability to unite students, local government, and private organizations in a shared mission of environmental responsibility.

Impact
Hola Mundo Programs has:

  • Engaged hundreds of students in environmental stewardship

  • Created public art installations made from recycled materials

  • Encouraged civic engagement and youth leadership

  • Provided students with community service hours required by schools

  • Inspired families and beach visitors to adopt more sustainable habits

  • Most importantly, students leave the program with a deeper sense of responsibility toward their community and the environment.
